Transaction Control Language Commands in SQL Server

Commit:

Commits a Transaction. Marks the end of a successful implicit or explicit transaction.

Syntax:

COMMIT { TRAN | TRANSACTION}[transaction_name|@tran_name_variable]][ ;]

Example:

COMMIT TRANSACTION

Rollback:

Rollbacks an explicit or implicit transaction to the beginning of the transaction or to a savepoint inside the transaction.

Syntax:

ROLLBACK { TRAN | TRANSACTION}[ transaction_name | tran_name_variable | savepoint_name | @savepoint_variable ] [; ]

Example:

ROLLBACK TRANSACTION
